The Andalusian School of Public Health (EASP), located within the Granada University Campus (Spain), provides training, consultancy, international co-operation, and research services in the public health and management of health and social services integrating both perspectives in all EASP projects. From the legal standpoint, EASP is incorporated as a public limited company under the auspices of the Regional Andalusian Health Ministry.
The School has adapted its organization and services in accordance with its mission and through its structure contributes to meeting its goals. The core of the School's organizational strategy lies in the generation and exchange of knowledge among professionals. A strong emphasis is placed on decentralization to ensure that important decisions are made in close collaboration with professionals and areas of knowledge in order to promote quality in the institution's teaching, consulting, and research projects.
Educational programmes in the EASP encourage innovation and help professionals to develop problem-solving skills based on practical situations encountered daily, so as to contribute towards improvements in health, healthcare services as well as in the health status and well-being among citizens.
The EASP Consultancy Division implements projects tailored to client requirements, seeking integral solutions that will assist managers and their teams when setting strategic goals as well as devising, implementing and monitoring specific improvement schemes.
EASP research is intended to generate new knowledge that will allow for solutions to health problems, for enhanced efficiency of healthcare services and promoting the population's health status.
Several specialized projects are also run by the school, such as the Granada Cancer Registry, the European Health Observatory, and the Drug Information and Documentation Center. Other services provided by the School include a library specialized in public health and management as well as an editorial for its own publications.
