Who can be part of the GENEIDA cohort?

Pregnant women who come to the Hospital de Poniente for the pregnancy control programme between the 12th and 14th week of gestation, over 16 years of age, with a single pregnancy and without the use of assisted reproduction techniques. However, those women who have difficulty understanding Spanish and who have been clinically diagnosed with a chronic illness prior to pregnancy and who are under medical treatment (cancer, diabetes, lung, kidney and liver diseases, heart disease, etc.) cannot be selected for the study.
